Your game. Your pace.

Privacy policy

Tetra: Blocks & Flow is developed by Ryan Parrish. This policy covers the iPhone app and this website.

Effective September 7, 2026

The short version: Your boards and collection stay on your iPhone. Tetra has no ads, third-party analytics, or developer-operated gameplay server. Optional Game Center and tips use Apple’s services.

Playing Tetra

Tetra’s puzzles, artwork, and music are stored in the app and work offline. The app has no advertising, third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, or developer-operated gameplay server. You do not create a Tetra account.

Your current boards, scores, Challenge progress, animal collection, Flow discoveries, and settings are stored on your iPhone. Tetra also stores active playtime and whether you have dismissed its optional tip prompt or made a verified tip. Playtime is used locally to decide when to show the prompt; Tetra does not send it to a server.

Optional Game Center

Tetra uses Apple’s Game Center for its Arcade leaderboard and achievements. You can decline sign-in and continue playing locally.

When you sign in, Apple provides the app with a Game Center player identifier and display name. Tetra uses the identifier to keep that player’s local saves and pending reports separate from guest play and other players. It sends Arcade best scores and achievement progress to Apple through Game Center, including retrying pending reports when connectivity returns. Leaderboard and achievement information may be visible to others according to your Game Center settings. I can manage the game’s leaderboard and achievement records through Apple’s developer tools.

Game Center does not synchronize Tetra’s boards or animal collection across devices. Apple’s processing is described in Game Center & Privacy and Apple’s privacy policy.

Optional tips

Tips are optional consumable In-App Purchases processed by Apple. They do not unlock game content. Tetra uses Apple’s StoreKit to load localized products and prices and verify and finish transactions. The app records locally that a verified tip occurred so it can stop the automatic tip prompt.

Tetra does not receive your card details or operate a purchase-verification server. Apple maintains purchase records under its own policies; I receive sales and financial reports through Apple’s developer services.

Support and beta feedback

If you contact support, I receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, screenshots, and device or app version. I use this information to answer your request and resolve the issue, and retain it only as long as needed for those purposes and applicable recordkeeping obligations. You can request deletion by emailing tetra@stickystyle.net; I will honor requests where possible.

If you post an issue on the public GitHub issue tracker, your message and any attachments are visible to others. Use email for private information. GitHub handles account and issue data under its own privacy statement, linked below.

If you use a TestFlight beta, Apple may provide me with beta feedback, screenshots, crash reports, and testing information through TestFlight. Do not include passwords or other sensitive information in feedback. See TestFlight & Privacy.

This website

This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. I do not add analytics, advertising cookies, contact forms, or third-party embeds to these pages. The images and styles are served with the site.

GitHub logs and stores visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes, whether or not they are signed in to GitHub. See GitHub Pages data collection and the GitHub General Privacy Statement. Following a link to Apple or GitHub takes you to a service covered by its own policies.

Retention and deletion

Local saves and preferences remain until the app’s data is removed. Switching Game Center accounts keeps each player’s local progress separate; it does not delete that progress. Deleting Tetra using iOS’s Delete App option removes its local app data; Offload App retains documents and data. Device backups may retain or restore app data according to your Apple backup settings.

Deleting Tetra does not erase Game Center records or Apple purchase records. Manage Game Center through Apple’s settings and privacy controls, and contact me about Tetra-specific data that I can manage. Tetra cannot restore a board or collection from a developer server.
